Do you feel overwhelmed?

Do you experience anxiety, fear or panic attacks?

Does your relationship with food feel out of your grasp?

Do you feel lethargic, sad or alone?

Have you been trying to cope by yourself, but nothing seems to be working?

Psychological therapy could be for you if you deal with any of these issues.

My name is Dr. Julie O’Connell Kent. I am a registered Counselling Psychologist (D.Couns.Psych.) who works with people who are dealing with a variety of difficulties in their lives. I provide online video psychological therapy sessions.

A Scientific Approach + Compassion = Success

My approach to therapy is to integrate evidence-based psychological therapies with an understanding, listening ear.

The following psychological therapies inform my work:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Person-Centred Therapy (PCT)

What is a Psychologist?

Psychologists are trained to help people who are struggling with distress relating to their emotions/feelings, thoughts or behaviours. They often do their work by meeting with people individually or in groups, and helping them to learn to build awareness of their patterns of emotions and how to process them more effectively.
